Luxembourg takes over the presidency of the European Cybersecurity Competence Center

Pascal Steichen, CEO of SECURITYMADEIN.LU, appointed Chairman of the ECCC Board of Directors

The European Cybersecurity Competence Center (ECCC) was created in 2021 to strengthen and disseminate cybersecurity expertise throughout the EU through the pooling of investments in research, technologies & the industrial development in terms of cybersecurity.

The Center, based in Romania, brings together the main European stakeholders, namely companies, academic and research organizations, as well as other relevant civil society associations, in order to build a community of expertise in cybersecurity within Europe.

On 16th February, during a meeting of the Board of Directors of the European Cybersecurity Competence Center (ECCC), Pascal Steichen, CEO of SECURITYMADEIN.LU, was appointed, for a renewable term of 3 years, Chairman of the ECCC Board of Directors in addition to his current duties.

Pascal commented: “It’s a huge pleasure and a great honour for me, to have been elected as the first chairperson of the ECCC Governing Board.

The ECCC is an important and key milestone for Europe’s cybersecurity future and I’m looking forward to collaborating with all of you, from my network and beyond, to develop secure and sustainable capacities for the Single Market.”
