On October 13th, WCF participated on the Cyberday.lu organised by Restena Foundation
WCF President, Jelena Zelenovic Matone, gave the keynote speech on “Building a Cybersec roadmap for business growth and continuity”.
Besides the keynote, WCF also had a booth to talk to potential new members about the missions and vision of the association.
The event is mainly focused on the research and education sector, which is why also the BTS Cybersecurity from Lycée Guillaume Kroll was part of the audience.
During the event, we learned among other about the “Evolution of phishing” by Steve Müller from Bee
Secure and “How email thread hijacking became the next big thing” by Thierry Degeling from GOVCERT as well as to “Recovering data from a wiped disk” by Micheal Hamm from CIRCL.
Our partner Excellium was also contributing on how to organise and keep uptodate the feed for to enhance threat intelligence with the talk by Guenaëlle De-Julis with “Beware of (cyber) feed poisoning”.
Finally Pascal Steichen from SECURITYMADEIN.LU / Luxembourg House of Cyber Security presented the
European Cybersecurity Competence Centre and the roles of Network of National Coordination Centres
(NCCs) towards Europe’s new framework to support innovation and industrial policy in cybersecurity.
