CANDIDATES FOR PRESIDENT

DALIA KHADER,CISO, Swisslife
“My contribution to the W4C Board will stand out because I genuinely care about listening, building bridges between people and ideas, and helping create opportunities for women to support and lift each other up.”
WHY? The path to success for women in IT is far from easy, and too many unnecessary barriers still stand in the way. These barriers slow innovation, limit talent, and weaken our digital future. This must change, and organizations like Women4Cyber play a vital role in making that change possible.
We need to make the path for younger talent smoother, to guide and support them as they grow and help strengthen our community. Every step we take together can make a real difference.
At a time when Europe is shaping its digital future, empowering women and fostering diversity in technology is no longer optional, it is essential.
I am eager to contribute to this mission, to share what I’ve learned, learn from others, and to work together in positioning Luxembourg at the heart of this transformation.
YOUR STRATEGY for the following years?
My strategy would start with gaining an accurate understanding of the current status, our strengths, our challenges, and the expectations of our community. A solid strategy must be grounded in reality before it can be ambitious.
From there, I would focus on strengthening three core pillars:
- Visibility: To lead effectively, we must be at the center of the cybersecurity and digital ecosystem in Luxembourg and across Europe.
- Impact: Visibility alone is not enough, we must deliver meaningful value.
- Sustainability & Long‑Term Vision: To remain relevant, we must think beyond the present.

PATRICIA SOUZA,FOUNDER GEEK GIRLS
“My contribution to the W4C Board will stand out because I would like to be a role model for other women coming from diverse backgrounds that people without a formal tech background can still become STEM professionals. I pivoted from a tax advisor to an architect of belonging. My mission is to build the bridges, the spaces, and the narratives that allow women and underrepresented minorities to step out of the shadows and claim their agency with courage. In the Grand Duchy, we often talk about the ‘digital table,’ but I am not interested in just asking for a seat. I want us to be the ones designing the room. I am here to ensure that the girls and women of Luxembourg don’t just enter the ICT sector—they redefine it.”
WHY? When I first considered applying for this role, that familiar, quiet voice whispered: ‘Why you? You aren’t from the Cyber world. You will fail.’ But then, I looked back at my journey in Luxembourg. I remembered leading Girls in Tech Luxembourg and then co-founding and leading WeSTEM+—taking an organization from a blank page to a thriving community of 4.000 members. And I did that without a technical background, fueled by a single, unwavering passion: helping women stop staring at the ‘missing certificates’ on their CVs and start owning the incredible track records they already have.
I am applying to become your President because I want to be a role model for every woman in Luxembourg that the Cyber ecosystem is not a closed fortress—it is a landscape waiting for our leadership. I want to help nurture this community where we don’t just ‘network,’ but where we actively lift each other up during the ‘crisis moments’ that the WCF knows we are naturally gifted to handle. Like the Women Cyber Force, I know that when a woman finally trades her self-doubt for self-confidence, the sky is no longer a ceiling—it is the starting line. And I truly hope and wish that together, we can make the gender gap in Luxembourg’s cyber world a story of the past.
YOUR STRATEGY for the following years?
My strategy follows an integrated path designed to continue the WCF path from a volunteer group to a Professional Cyber Powerhouse in Luxembourg, recognized as the first place to go for Cybersecurity.
Year 1: Foundation & Financial Robustness
- The Goal: Aligning with the President’s duty to “ensure financial sustainability”.
- Outcome: A stable treasury that allows us to fund ambitious projects without constant “fundraising fatigue”.
Ecosystem Integration & European Scaling
- The Goal: Fulfilling the mandate to represent the organization and build stakeholder relationships, following the good path already consolidated by the past presidents.
- Outcome: WCF becomes the primary consultant for the Luxembourg government on gender-inclusive cyber policy.
Year 2: The Legacy & Talent Pipeline
- The Goal: Fostering positive organizational culture and ensuring the mission is fulfilled.
- Outcome: A self-sustaining pipeline where today’s mentees become tomorrow’s WCF leaders.

Megan Olveren,IT Procurement Supervisor EMEA, Koch Global Financial Services
“My contribution to the W4C Board will stand out because I value community and collaboration, and I will focus on building strong local connections in Luxembourg that help women see themselves and their skills reflected in cyber security careers.”
WHY? I am motivated to join the board of Women4Cyber Luxembourg because cyber security is an area where I have done some of my most interesting and meaningful work. My experience as a cyber security procurement and project manager gave me first-hand insight into how important and often misunderstood this space is. It sparked a lasting interest that continues to grow.
I am passionate about continuing to learn and about helping others better understand cyber security, particularly kids and young adults. I really value staying engaged with the cybersecurity community, helping raise awareness, and contributing to education that drives real change, while learning alongside others who share the same commitment to this mission.
YOUR STRATEGY for the following years?
My vision is to make cyber security understandable, relevant, and accessible to young people and communities while demystifying the topic early and encouraging curiosity, confidence, and diverse participation.
Year 1 – Build Foundations and Visibility
- Connect with schools in a practical, relatable way by helping students see that cybersecurity is part of everyday life—not something intimidating or abstract. This could include age-appropriate sessions on online safety, digital identity, social engineering, and data privacy, using real-life examples through school talks and workshops.
- Activate the Women4Cyber community to show that there isn’t a single path into cybersecurity. By sharing both technical and non-technical routes, such as governance, project management, procurement, and business roles, we can make the field feel more accessible. A simple, repeatable framework would help volunteers engage with schools or local communities without heavy preparation.
- Expand outreach through storytelling and local partnerships by encouraging members to act as role models and ambassadors, sharing their real career journeys and experiences. Beyond schools, this could include community events, youth groups, and parent forums, supported by online resources or a community page, and strengthened through partnerships with local councils, NGOs, and libraries.
Year 2: Scale, deepen & sustain the momentum we will have created
• Measure impact and keep learning by tracking high-level engagement, such as the number of schools reached, sessions delivered, and volunteers involved. Just as importantly, we can listen to feedback from students, educators, and community members to better understand what they want to learn and how we can support them. These insights can then help us improve our approach and share real success stories.
